Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the RN / LPN Remediation program at Jude Health Institute, students will achieve the following objectives:
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Apply the nursing process to provide comprehensive care to individuals across the lifespan, identifying diseases, signs and symptoms, diagnostic tests, and treatment options.

- Disease Management: Provide effective care to patients with cardiac, endocrine, nervous, integumentary, sensory, reproductive, and musculoskeletal diseases and disorders, utilizing the nursing process.
Admission Requirements
RN / LPN Remediation program is designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Failed NCLEX Three Consecutive Times: Applicants who have failed the NCLEX exam three consecutive times must obtain a letter from the Board of Nursing indicating the need for remediation.
- Licensure Endorsement Applicants: Individuals who do not hold an active nursing license or have not practiced in the past five years are eligible for this program. A clinical remedial authorization letter is required.
- Board of Nursing Mandated Remediation: Applicants whom the Board of Nursing has identified as requiring remediation must also provide a letter from the Board of Nursing confirming the need for clinical authorization.
Course Progression
- The authorization for completion of the clinical component of the RN / LPN Remediation course will be provided upon successful completion. An authorization letter is not required to begin the theory component of the remedial course.
- If progressing to the clinical portion of the course, the remedial course provider must request a letter for approval to initiate the clinical portion. This request should include the following information: the remedial course provider’s details, professional type, number of completed theoretical hours, clinical site location, the name of the remedial program, and the anticipated completion date of the clinical component.
- Even if applicants do not meet the specific criteria for the course, voluntary admission is also accepted.
